Rain is a Good Thing... Except When Your On Vacation.

June 11, 2012
Being soaked is not fun. Rain is a good thing, but not when you are 16+ hours from your house trying to have a good vacation with your family.
This morning we woke up pretty early to get on the road towards Busch Gardens. (It is about an hour from our condo). When we got there it was hot, hot, hot. Right off the bat my parents had problems getting there tickets to go through. Once they got help things went pretty quick, but then when we went to go through the gate they ran into more troubles. It took them almost an hour to get into the park and they were not happy. It was a little stressful at first, but once all the kinks were worked through we started to have a good time. Everybody wanted to immediately start riding rides, so I took Liam to see an Elmo's Imagination 4D show. Of course he slept through the whole entire show which involved bubbles landing on him, air blowing in his face, water shooting out of a chair at him, and he woke up the literal second the show ended. Oh well though, at least he got a good nap in, and I enjoyed the show.

After the Elmo's Imagination show we went to see the white tigers and then to eat lunch with Gma and Pops. After that we headed over to Elmo's World. Liam crawled up some ropes and rode the baby carasel. Then we went to see the" A is for Africa" show. It was so cute and Liam loved it. He laughed and clapped the whole time. The characters really responded to him, because of how much fun he was having. Liam is already such a social butterfly, we must do more pageant-haha. After the show we got to get a picture with the characters and then a storm rolled in. We waited for over an hour in a gift shop and the rain never let up. Finally, the rest of the family headed over towards us and we decided to try to walk in the rain to an Iceploration show hoping the rain would let up. No dice. After the show it was Still raining. We ate dinner and the older family rode another ride or two and then we decided to call it quiets for the day. It sucked that it rained half of our day, but at least we still tried to make the best of it. I couldn't complain much considering that the USO so graciously provided the day for free in honor of Ben's service to this country. This is one thing my heart yearns to teach Liam. Try not to complain, because it doesn't help the situation. Make the best of your time and every situation, because you are never guaranteed tomorrow, live and love God and serve him everyday, and always be thankful for what you have and the service men and woman who keep us free so we can go to places like Busch Gardens. If you guys ever catch me not doing these things then by all means let me know so I can correct it!
